This multi-purpose tool combines the brush clearing action of a machete with the cutting power of an axe. Standard US Army issue since 1941 and indispensable enough to be include in pilots ejection survival kit. A dependable tool for decades to the foresters, surveyors and horticultural professionals.
Light in weight, compact, and superbly balanced, this tool is an extension rather than a burden to your arm (it's no accident that its length approximates that of the human forearm from elbow to knuckle).
Slice through green wood up to 1-1/2" in diameter with a single stroke. Clear vines, briers, sprout growth at the ground. One side has an 8" long concave edge and the other a 2" long cutting hook. Only 23oz. and a compact 17" long.
Comes with a comfortable, unfinished leather handle and a hand guard. Optional Leather or Cordura Nylon Sheath for protection and transport.
