Our 5.5" Field Hoe | |
COMPARE: Which Ag Hoe is the Right Garden Tools for You?There are 3 basic assortments: gardening hoes, push hoes and field hoes.
- Our Ag Garden Hoes line up begins with our Ag All Purpose
Garden Hoes and come in two version. The 5.75" wide head is our most
popular. Fashioned on our 54" shaft, they are lightweight, maneuverable and
easy to wield. The 5.75" head makes getting into flowerbeds and veggie rows
a breeze for weeding or light cultivating. Used on its side, it can get into
the tightest of places. A step larger is our 7" wide head for those looking
for a heavier hoe. It balances best on our 60" shaft.
The Ag Light Weeding Hoe is one of our best all-duty garden
tools. Light in weight but heavy on duty, this narrow headed hoe [4”
wide on a 54" shaft] is great for light cultivating and weeding in
the tight quarters of confining flower and vegetable beds. Turn the Ag
Light Weeding Hoe on its side and it functions as a triangle hoe,
making the focused point useful in rooting out the most determined weeds.
Ag Triangle Garden Hoe is a small [3.5" across the
top] narrow triangular blade of this weeding hoe is a good choice for a
stand-up, precision garden tool best for confining flower and vegetable
beds and its light weight won't wear you out with extended use. The razor
sharp edges and fine point of the triangle focus more impact energy at the
point of contact providing penetrating digging for rooting out stubborn
weeds with less strain.
-
Our Ag Push Hoe is toils saving design engineered for
weeding. Unlike other hoes that use a downward hacking motion, push hoes
use your body weight to provide much of the penetrating force in
weeding. Sometimes referred to as a scuffle hoe they are used on the push
and pull strokes to "scuffle" or shove on or just below the surface
to sever weeds at their base with less effort. Available in an 8" wide
(at the base) arrow shaped head or a 6" wide design. Both are afixed
to 60" shafts.
- The hefty, turf busting Ag Field Hoes with the ferrules*
that are welded directly to the head are a popular offering. We provide them in
4", 5.5" and 7" wide selections on 60" shafts. The broad flat head makes for an excellent tamping garden tool for packing down earth. The 7" is a favorite
of cotton growers and cuts up 1" diameter trees with a good swing. We'd venture to say this is the most robust gardening tool you'd ever hope to handle!
