Some things improve with age. Others were built right the first time. It’s the watering can that made HAWS WATERING CANS famous. First introduced by the firm’s founder, John Haws and issued a patent in 1885 by Queen Victoria, this classic design has been the cherished possession by professional growers and serious gardeners ever since.
But what makes this can so coveted?
Superb Balance. A keystone feature of all Haws Watering Cans, but more noticeable with the larger watering cans of the Haws Watering Can Professional Series. [While we can't make 2 gallons of water lighter, good balanced can make it seem lighter.]
Long Reach. It’s trademark long reach spout not only allows one to watering deep into flower beds, but is a crucial counter balance making the Haws Professional Watering Can easier to wield easy.
No-spill neck. Tall collard neck prevents water spilling over when the Haws Watering Can is tipped for spraying
Non-corrosive brass rose. A hallmark of Haws Watering Cans it to have the solid brass “rose” or head pointed up to allow the fine lofty spray to impact under it's own gentle weight rather then the pressure of the water in the can.
Includes rose filter. Filter between spout and watering can prevents brass rose from blocking up
Durable Galvanizing. Solid steel construction a galvanized zinc coating resist rust. A further powder coat finish is applied to the watering can as an attractive alternative to the natural galvanized version.
A NOTE ABOUT: The 3 quart Professional Haws Watering Can: Smaller- designed for use in conservatories, greenhouses and on patios-- has a somewhat shorter spout than the larger sizes and is sold with an separate curved and tapered extension spout for added length and is sold with a diminutive solid brass rose.
